Maui's North Shore is a place of peace and tranquility, far from crowded Maui resorts, where the spirit
of aloha is strong, and the balmy trade winds gently caress the palm-lined white sand beaches.
The "North Shore" of Maui includes the small towns of Paia, Haiku and Pauwela. Maui's "North Shore" is located south-east of Kahului and the airport, with many great beaches within walking distance of Paia. Surrounding the small, eclectic town of Paia, and just 10 - 15 minutes drive from Haiku, are numerous beautiful North Shore Beaches.
Baldwin Beach, Ho'okipa Beach, and to a lesser extent Paia Bay, are the most well-known, but there are several small, nameless little coves and bays that are well worth checking out.
The lifestyle is laid back and centers around outdoor activities. Kuau Cove is located between Paia and Hookipa (about 1 mile outside Paia). This is an excellent windsurfing location. The water is warm, the views are beautiful, and the sun shines almost every day.
Un-crowded white sand beaches, balmy trade winds, swaying palms, friendly residents, and amenities are just some of the attractions waiting for residents who live on Maui's peaceful North Shore.
